Easter Waste and Recycling Collections in Torridge 2024

With the Easter bank holiday fast approaching, Torridge District Council is reminding residents that there will be some changes to their usual waste and recycling collection days. 

All refuse and recycling collections normally due on Friday 29th March (Black Bag, Recycling, Garden Waste) will be collected one day later on Saturday 30th March.

Collections for the week commencing Monday 1st April will also be one day later than usual for the whole week.

The normal collection schedule will resume from the week starting Monday 8th April. For further information on collection dates and times, please visit our website at: www.torridge.gov.uk/forms/firmstep/wastecalendar.html

Easter egg packaging is made of various materials such as cardboard, plastic, and foil. These materials can be easily and widely recycled, please see what goes where below;

Councillor Chris Leather, Lead Member for Waste & Recycling said;

"Easter eggs and other gifts typically generate more waste, so it is important that we keep on recycling throughout the bank holiday weekend.
