New Residents Permit Details 2024/25

Residents permits are a convenient choice for people who work from home or work unsociable hours.

They are limited to one per household, and are subject to the following eligibility:

  • your permit zone will be within the immediate vicinity of your residential address.
  • your vehicle will fit wholly within a parking bay.
  • your vehicle is registered at your permanent residence as above, (Company Vehicle accepted)

They can only be purchased for car parks where residents parking is allowed, listed below:

  • Zone 1 - Bideford Bideford: Cattle Market, Springfield,Riverbank Long Stay, Clarence Wharf & Pannier Market   (Bridge Street Car Park - Only Residents permit A Permitted) 
  • Zone 2 - Northam: Bonehill & Windmill Lane 
  • Zone 3 - Appledore: Odun Road, Churchfields & West Appledore                                                                       (Winter Season 1st November - 14th March ONLY)
  • Zone 4 - Westward Ho!:Wilkeys Fields, Slipway & Main                                                                                      (Winter Season 1st November - 14th March ONLY)
  • Zone 5 - Torrington: Barley Grove and Sydney House (South Street)
  • Zone 6 - Holsworthy: Manor & Well Park

 

Permit A  - £100:00  Valid 4 pm - 10am Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday

Permit B - £150:00   Valid 4 pm - 10am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday & Sunday

Permit C - £294:00   Valid all day Monday - Saturday

Permit D - £350:00   Valid all day Monday - Sunday

 

 Please note :These permits can only be purchased on an Annual basis.

You will need:

  • An account on our online permit system
  • A copy of your latest Council Tax & Utility Bill
  • Your vehicle's registration number (number plate)
  • A debit or credit card

Terms and Conditions

  1. The use of this permit does not preclude you from receiving a Penalty Charge Notice should you fail to comply with these terms and conditions or commit any other offence contrary to the District of Torridge Off Street Parking Places Order 2024. Please see the information board in the car park for further details.
  2. The Council accepts no liability for the loss or damage to vehicles or the contents thereof.
  3. In using this permit in your designated vehicle you are agreeing to the Council's terms & conditions contained herein and within the above mentioned Order.
