Councillor Cottle-Hunkin, Lead Member for Culture & Community Engagement at Torridge District Council, said:
"As a mum to two young children, I know the summer holidays can be an expensive time. But one of the best and most affordable days out has got to be a trip to Westward Ho! beach! It's a great place to cool off, have fun as a family, and make special memories.
These free events on the Burrows are a fantastic way to complement a day at the beach, giving families the chance to connect with nature and discover more about the unique landscape and the amazing wildlife that calls it home.
A huge thank you to the dedicated Ranger team for making these activities possible. We're so incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world and have award-winning Blue Flag beaches right on our doorstep. Get out and get involved this summer!"
All activities run from 2pm to 4pm unless otherwise stated, with no booking required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
There will also be a fairy trail around the sand dunes throughout the summer holidays - visitors can collect a free map from the visitor centre any day between 10am and 5pm to explore in search of magical creatures!
For further details about each event, visit our website www.torridge.gov.uk/northamburrowsevents and social media pages or ask at the Visitor Centre and toll booths.
