Torridge District Council adopts the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) Model Publication Scheme under section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. This page explains what we publish, how to access it, and any charges that may apply.

How to access information

Online: Most information is available on our website via the links in each section below.

By request: If it isn't online, contact us through our FOI/EIR page. We will provide the information electronically where possible or arrange an appointment to view if needed.

Classes of information we publish

Local Government Transparency Code

We publish information required by the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, including spend over £500, procurement, GPC transactions, grants, organisation charts, senior salaries and pay multiple, land and property, parking, and fraud information.

Formats, accessibility and language

Information is primarily published on our website. Where online publication is impracticable or not preferred, we will explain how to obtain it by email, hard copy, or by appointment to view.

We aim to meet accessibility standards and can provide information in alternative formats or languages where reasonable.

Charging

Most information is free to view and download. We may charge disbursements (e.g., photocopying/printing and postage at cost), statutory fees where set in law for specific information/services, and reuse licence fees where applicable for commercial reuse.

Complaints and review

If you are dissatisfied with how we have handled a request or with the availability of information under this Scheme, please contact us for an internal review. If you remain dissatisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Managing and reviewing this Scheme

We will maintain and review this Publication Scheme regularly. We will expand proactive publication where there is clear public interest and demand. We will ensure staff are aware of what is available via this Scheme to support quick and easy access for the public.
