Torridge District Council is reminding residents that all household waste and recycling must be presented by the earlier time of 6am on the scheduled day of collection.

This change aligns with updated crew schedules and is intended to improve the efficiency and reliability of collection services. To prevent missed collections, residents are advised to place their waste and recycling out the night before or no later than 6am on their scheduled collection date.

To help crews complete their rounds safely and effectively, all containers, including recycling boxes, garden waste bins and black bags, should be positioned kerbside in a clearly visible and easily accessible location. Please also secure all waste and recycling to prevent it from blowing away or attracting animals.

Councillor Chris Leather, Lead Member for Operational Services at Torridge District Council, said:

"To help support our excellent waste and recycling teams, we're asking everyone to ensure their bins are placed out by 6:00am on collection days. This simple step helps our crews work efficiently, reduces the risk of missed collections and keeps our local area clean and well-serviced. We appreciate the continued support from residents in helping us make these services as effective as possible."
