Make a Building Control Application
Before you begin you will need the following information ready to provide for your application.
- Estimated cost of works for the project, (based on a Builders Estimate)
- internal floor area (m2) or number of dwellings as appropriate.
- in the case of a new building or an extension, a location/block plan to a scale of 1:1250
- Any relevant plans or specifications for the project.
You will be contacted following submission of information for fee and Payment.
Please note your application will not be valid until all relevant information has been provided and payment made. Commencement of works prior to a valid application will be treated as unauthorised building works and may result in enforcement action taken.
Full Plans and Building Notice applications should be submitted using the Submit-a-Plan online application site.

Building work solely required for disabled persons may be exempt from fees. Please contact us if you believe this may apply to your project.

Demolition Notice forms are available via the Downloads section on the right of this page. The Word version can be downloaded and filled in using your computer.
There is a charge of £165 for Demolition notices.
