The Elections and Electoral Registration Service handles the registration of voters and the administration of all elections including Parliamentary, European, Devon County Council, Police and Crime Commissioner, District and Parish elections. This service also administers Referenda and Parish Polls as and when required

The Community Development Team provide a diverse range of support to local communities, financially and through the provision of information, advice and guidance. -
Torridge District Council works as part of the Safer North Devon community safety partnership to improve the quality of life for residents in Torridge, by reducing crime and disorder and improving community safety and security. -
The Council's Environmental Protection Team works to protect the local environment and to control pollution. We also provide pest control advice and animal welfare services.

We work in partnership with a number of Housing Associations (Registered Social Landlords) which provide rented accommodation across Torridge district. (See also "Applying for Social Housing".)

The Local Land Charges Team is responsible for providing this Council's Local Authority Search process. This includes the maintenance of the Local Land Charges Register, the issue of Official Search Certificates and responses to the CON29 Enquiries of local authority questionnaire.

Torridge District Council operate a number of Pay & Display car parks across the District and also act as agent to Devon County Council for the enforcement of on street parking regulations. -
Torridge District Council manage and maintain public conveniences at many locations throughout the district. -
The naming and numbering of streets and buildings in Torridge, is controlled by Torridge District Council under the Town Improvement Clauses Act 1847. We deal with all queries relating to new streets, renaming properties and confirming official addresses. <br /><br /> -
Torridge District Council is making a key contribution to promoting sustainability by taking a lead in exploiting the many opportunities presented by its own buildings and activities.
