Autumn Guided Walks & Events 2017

Information on Northam Burrows Events Autumn.

This autumn join the Rangers of Northam Burrows Country Park for a series of walks and special events. They are a great way to get outdoors and explore the Burrows. All walks and events are free, but may require booking, see below for more information.

This autumn we are teaming up with the North Devon Coast AONB to run a programme of Coastal Creatures events exploring the North Devon coastline, to take a closer look at what lives here and how we can protect it. Look out for these special events in the programme below:













What's On


Coastal Creatures Rockpool Scavenger Hunt

Tuesday, 24th of October (2pm-4pm)

Use underwater cameras to record wildlife living on the rocky shore at this special rockpool scavenger hunt with Cat from the North Devon Coast AONB. All equipment provided.

Meet at Westward Ho! Slipway


Seaside History Walk

Wednesday, 25th of October (2pm-4pm)

Take a look at the history of the burrows and the beach with Dave Edgecombe from the North Devon Coast AONB on this guided walk along the pebble ridge.



Rake and Burn

Wednesday, 29th of November (10am-4pm)

Come and help the Rangers clear invasive bramble from the sand dunes to help protect the rare plants in the park.
