Providing Accountancy & Exchequer Services for the Council.

The Accountancy Team is based at the Council's Bridge Buildings Office and consists of a team of ten staff reporting to the Chief Accountant.

The team is responsible for the provision of all corporate financial information for the authority. This includes co-ordinating the setting of fees and charges, revenue and capital budgets and the monitoring of income and expenditure.

The team also prepares the Statutory Accounts which can be viewed by using the link to "Performance and Information" to the right of this text.

The Accountants also provide a wide range of financial support services to other sections within the Authority.

Accountancy Services is responsible for all payments to both creditors and staff and details of this service can be viewed in "Doing Business with the Council" by using the link to the right of this text.
