This funding aims to support households facing hardship due to the cost of living crisis, helping with food, utility bills, and essential living costs. Assistance can also cover clothing, blankets, and repairs for essential appliances.

Emergency Proxy

In certain circumstances, where you have an emergency that means you can't go to the polling station in person, you can apply for an emergency proxy up to 5pm on the day of the election. These are paper forms only and you can contact the Elections Team here  to request a copy.

The form you complete depends on your reason for needing a proxy, currently these are:

  • You have a disability

  • You are away for work

Your photo ID is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged, and the deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate has passed. This form can also be used if your Anonymous Elector's Document is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged.
