Statistics and Local Information

We are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the country - but that privilege presents issues and challenges that many, less rural, authorities do not have to face. It is essential that we understand the needs and aspirations of our residents.

The Torridge Profile provides a statistical overview of our district and this information helps us ensure that we are delivering the right services at the right time in the most convenient and cost effective way.

To provide further understanding of the Council's performance, we undertake and annual benchmark Torridge against our 'nearest neighbours - the 15 districts in England who are socially and economically closest to Torridge. 

We also produce Ward Profiles which interrogate some of the data contained in the Torridge Profile down to Ward level.
