Torridge Profile

This Torridge Profile provides an overview of our district (in terms of demographics, housing, crime, economic indicators, and deprivation).

It is important that we have the latest data available to ensure our resources are aimed at supporting the diverse needs of our rural communities as well as our market and coastal towns. Without this knowledge there could be waste and duplication. Understanding the issues facing the District as a whole is key to the Council achieving its own strategic ambitions (see the Council's Strategic Plan).

Information within this profile has been collated from a variety of official sources (e.g. The Office for National Statistics) and is the latest data available.

Some data was last provided in the 2011 Census and is therefore becoming out of date. We aim to produce a new Torridge Profile in 2023 when the results of the 2021 Census have been released and processed.
