Possible clay ship for Bideford. Deo Gloria due at Yelland.

A Ball Clay cargo of 1750 tonnes for Naantaali in Finland was possible early next week, but agents report that a ship has yet to be nominated, making the shipment now less likely on these imminent spring tides.

Sand dredger DEO GLORIA is set to return to the estuary starting tomorrow morning am tide for a campaign lasting perhaps 5 days to replenish the stocks of sand at the quay.

A stone cargo from Glensanda is required for Notts at Yelland, but with charter rates for ships at a high level, this is proving a difficult exercise at previous prices, meaning that a return to road transport with its congestion issues is a possibility.
