Celtic Crusader has loaded at Bideford.

On Monday Mv CELTIC CRUSADER was boarded at Middle Ridge after leading him from between Bar and Fairway buoy in rough sea and mod to poor visibility in rain.

Boarding was at the first moderatly safe position for putting the Two Rivers II alongside skillfully by helmsman john Pavitt and Crewman Thom Flaxman.

The relativel;y long pilot and ladder and the 4 decks climb by R. Hoad pilot was accomplished in good time for the first turn at the outer pulley buoy. The Master and Cheif officer had brought stone from Glensanda during the previous May in the same ship and have been on leave for 3 months during the summer.

The ship handled well with her Flap rudder, and bowthruster when arriving at Bideford.

Over the last two days mike Pryer and Evans shovel driver together with Ways and some Evans lorries have loaded the ship with 2,740 tonnes of ball clay for Castellon, Spain from Petersmarland Sibelco quarry.

Pilot for the outward leg will be Capt Paul Gyurgyak, and the ship will sail at approx 1745 hrs tomorrow Thursday.
