Shipyard launch date

Babcock Appledore shipbuilders have requested a pilot for the floating out of the latest Irish naval ship AS 196 on March 9th evening tide. (1814 hrs HW).

She is apparently to be called the William Butler Yeats.

Shipping agents Pike Ward advise that a stone ship is likely due for Yelland at the end of March / early April. Clay exports remain quiet (also at Teignmouth).

MS Oldenburg is due to sail on a cargo run to Lundy next Wednesday, and crew are busy painting on deck when the weather allows.

Plans are reportedly to be resubmitted soon for development work at Brunswick and other wharves at East the Water.
