Tug and tow enter River, Caravel sailing vessel enters Bideford.

Brand new tug Sea Foxtrot enters the estuary towing the 90m barge 'WOOLSTON' assisted by the Williams Shipping vessel the Will Challenge. TDC Pilots Roger Hoad on the tug with Paul Gyurgyak on the barge with the Two Rivers2 Pilot Vessel reporting tide heights and current flows to the Senior Pilot. Lundy Puffin brought out the riding crew to the barge and stood by. Ribs were in attendance as line handling boats.

The operation went smoothly and the barge is now in the approach channel to the covered yard awaiting winching in tomorrow morning on the early tide, assisted by Willpower. The brand new Damen Shoalbuster tug is now moored at Bideford Quay, awaiting the barge to be loaded before sailing to ROSYTH on Friday or Saturday. Her crew is Dutch and Phillipino. She, in common with other Dutch and Belgian vessels requests that the Pilot (and crew) wears his slippers in the accomodation and Bridge!

The replica Caravel sailing vessel Matthew of Bristol called in to Bideford for a couple of hours firing her cannon and soon heading out again for Clovelly Roads. She is on her way to Polruan via Clovelly, Padstow, and Newlyn.
