Sister ships due. Logs and Clay.

mv Vasiliy Shukshin is back after a voyage to Estonia and Russia via Glasson Dock. She will load Ball Clay for Finland on Monday and Tuesday next week, but arrives on the last of the tides tomorrow morning. (As she did last voyage). She has been booked last minute, and was not expected.

She is followed by her sister ship the BALTIYSKIY 202 which will load logs for Wismar next Thursday. She too has arrived early on late on this set of Spring tides from DUNDALK in Ireland and has given an ETA of 1300hrs. Friday 27th for berting on the evening tide Friday.

It is perhaps a sign of the shipping market that these two vessels have time to lay and wait for a cargo. The high rainfall has made the river flows increase drastically with the desired effect of scouring the channels out in the river. It also makes swinging these long vessels more problematic on the smaller tides since they are not so manoevrable as some.
