mts Valour tows in two fishing vessels for scrapping

Decommisioned fishing vessel's were towed into RICHMOND DRYDOCK from NEWLYN recently (Thu Sept 6th) by mts tug VALOUR. This is the first time that the dock has been used since the ship ANTIC underwent extensive repairs to steelwork - including a new tank top in 2003. mv BALTIC CARRIER is due at 0700hrs tomorrow morning to load logs for WISMAR. Her sister ship came in Julyand loaded 2400 tonnes of logs. She sails from Plymouth today having discharged her cargo of animal feed.

ARCO DART came in twice over the weekend requesting a TDC Pilot on both occasions. Capt. Keith Stevens (Newly retired Arco Dart Captain) was the Pilot with the Pilot boat being manned by Thom Flaxman as Helm, Martin Foot as crew on Saturday and Richard Fay on Sunday. She berths, discharges her cargo of 1200 tonnes of sand which takes 2 hours, and then sails back to sea over one tidal high water.
