TDC Tipper seen loading Spruce Bark for Children's Hospice South West

After a suggestion from the local Environment Agency Officer Mr Sean McKay Mr Gary Hatch Maintenance and Premises Manager of Children's Hospice South West requested some of the quay's accumulated bark.

The Harbour Master requested that Operational Services deliver the 3 tipper loads to the Fremington Hospice which they willingly did thus clearing much of the good quality untreated Spruce bark. The tipper was loaded with the quay crane and the deliveries were made this afternoon today.

mv ARCO DART arrived on Friday afternoon, and was clear by 2000 hrs on Friday - Pilot Keith Stevens, Pilot Boat crew Stephen Perham (Clovelly HM) and Harry Gyurgyak.

On Sunday late afternoon mv Abis Belfast sailed for ROSYTH Paul Gyurgyak Pilot, Thom Flaxman, and Harry Gyurgyak as crew. She carried aircraft Carrier parts from Babcock Appledore Shipyard. Her Dutch Captain joined the ship at Appledore, and was his first time aboard this class of ship. He had his wife aboard.
