Yelland ship - Marina village rejected -

mv BALTIYSKIY 202 left DUNDALK last evening and narrowly missed the pm tide at the TAW TORRIDGE ESTUARY for arriving at YELLAND QUAY due to a slight delay in departure in Ireland.

She now awaits her Pilot near the FAIRWAY BUOY for berthing at YELLAND QUAY tomorrow morning (Saturday) where she will arrive at 0415 hrs approx.

She will load on Monday morning, with likely completion during the evening of Monday, and sailing for Tuesday am tide at 0700 hrs. bound for WISMAR GERMANY via SKAGEN.

A sand dredger will bring in a cargo of building sand in the latter part of the week next week to YELLAND QUAY.

The Plans Commitee decided 5 votes to 4 to reject the large village marina application partly because of the possible effect of noise from the adjacent busy shipyard which may cause complaints from residents, with the resultant possible restriction on shipyard working hours.
