mv BALDER arrived in Yelland Roads an hour before High Water today and berthed at 1545 hours. She had come from Cork where she delivered a cargo of Fertiliser from Poland. She sailed from Cork at 2100 hours approx last night and had a good passage across to North Devon.

The ship is Latvian owned and manned by Russian and Latvian crew. She was built in the Dutch Damen shipyard and was in good condition for her age, with her Becker rudder and powerfull bowthrust was very manoevrable in the fresh Northerly wind at the open jetty. She will load 2000 or so tonnes of logs for WISMAR in Germany on \Monday, sailing on Tuesday next am tide AGW.
