Abis Bilbao and Burgtor and Ems Majestic at Appledore, Yelland and Bideford.

mv ABIS BILBAO has arrived from IRELAND  to load steel sections for the second aircraft carrier project at ROSYTH. She berthed at High Water today starboard side to at the Babcock Appledore shipyard MIDDLE YARD.

She was a tide earlier than planned, and her Master had not been to the port before. Pilot Paul Gyurgyak conducted the ship to her berth. Pilot boat crew John Pavitt and Thom Flaxman said that boarding was rough at the Bar. Her officers were Dutch.

As she was coming in the BURGTOR sailed from YELLAND the two ships passing near to the South Crow Buoy. Burgtor was headed possibly for LUNDY or BIDEFORD BAY to anchor, awaiting orders.

The EMS MAJESTIC has loaded approx 1500 tonnes of Ball Clay at BIDEFORD and will complete during tomorrow loading a total of 2700 tonnes all for CASTELLON in SPAIN.
