JAMES JOYCE to be launched.

le JAMES JOYCE will be floated out of the covered BABCOCK shipyard on the 1814 hrs tide on Sunday next.

She will be towed by the WILLANN tug and the LUNDY PUFFIN onto the shipyard MIDDLE YARD berth with TDC Pilots onboard.

She is an identically designed vessel to the SAMUEL BECKETT which enetred service last year. for the Irish Navy.

The ship is in an advanced state of construction, and will be ready for trials in late February say the shipyard.

After she leaves Babcock Appledore are preparing for the entry of the return of the very large barge previously used to transport huge steel sections to ROSYTH for the second aircraft carrier project.
