Licensing Complaints

If you want to make a complaint about a licensing matter, please follow the procedure below:

1.  If you wish to complain about a licence holder or a licensed premises you will need to put your complaint in writing to the Licensing Team. You can use the complaint form on this page. There is an online or pdf version available. You may be asked to provide information in support of your complaint.  Your complaint will be treated in strict confidence in accordance with the provisions the Data Protection Act 2018.  Your personal details will not be disclosed without your consent. Please note that we cannot investigate complaints which fall outside the scope of licensing legislation.  We will not investigate complaints which we consider to be frivolous or malicious in nature.

2. If your complaint is about the service we have provided to you as a customer, please contact the Environmental Health and Community Services Manager in the first instance.  In many cases, it is possible to resolve complaints on an informal basis but we may ask you to provide information in writing in support of your complaint.  We take complaints seriously and, if we have failed to provide you with a satisfactory service, we will try to put matters right as far as we are able.
