Discount for Structural Alterations or Major Repairs

  1. Property Details

      A vacant dwelling, which is in need of, or is undergoing, structural alteration or major repair work, from 1st April 2019 is entitled to a Council Tax discount of 100% for a maximum period of 6 months. After the discount period has expired the property will be subject to a 100% charge. Please note from 1st April 2020 this discount will no longer be available.

      The term ‘vacant’ means the dwelling in question must be unoccupied and substantially unfurnished.
