Torridge District Council's Constitution sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that these are efficient, transparent and accountable to local people. Some of these processes are required by the law, while others are a matter for the Council to choose. NOTE: With effect from 17 February 2012 all references to the Chief Executive shall be substituted for Head of Paid Service. -
Torridge District Council currently spends approximately £10 million annually on a wide range of goods and services. The Council has adopted the Devon Districts Procurement Strategy which provides the framework for procurement throughout the Council. -
The Elections and Electoral Registration Service handles the registration of voters and the administration of all elections including Parliamentary, European, Devon County Council, Police and Crime Commissioner, District and Parish elections. This service also administers Referenda and Parish Polls as and when required
