How we spend/use revenue from Penalty Charge Notices and Pay & Display (parking operations). The 'Parking Account' is managed subject to the provisions of S.55 Road Traffic Act 1984 (as amended).

Penalty Charge Notice revenue: Is used to offset the cost of providing enforcement services (salaries, administration & associated supplies). It should be noted that Penalty Charge Notice revenue does not cover the cost of providing enforcement services.

Pay & Display (Parking Operations) revenue: Is used to offset the cost of providing off street parking places including maintenance, administration and enforcement. Any surplus is then used to support and provide other services such as public toilets, parks and open spaces etc.
