Parking Services
Torridge District Council operate a number of Pay & Display car parks across the District and also act as agent to Devon County Council for the enforcement of on street parking regulations.
Off street car park charges (Pay & Display) apply each day of the week between 8am and 6pm except Christmas Day and New Years Day.
For our regular users, weekly tickets are available from the Pay & Display machines. Alternatively, Season, Business and Residents permits are also available from the Parking Office. For our visitors, a Tourist Permit is available.
Drivers can use their mobile phones to pay for parking in pay and display spaces in Appledore, Bideford, Holsworthy, Northam, Torrington & Westward Ho! with the Council's service provider Parkmobile.

Parking bays specifically reserved for use by disabled persons can be found in Torridge District Council car parks, and on street parking is available to Blue Badge holders. -
Motorcycles and scooters may park for free in all but the smallest of Torridge District Council's car parks, Bideford Manor Car Park, in which they are not permitted. -

These pages contain information on purchasing a Pay & Display ticket from the meters found in the car parks, making payment using your mobile phone, and purchasing a parking permit. Free parking is currently available in The Pill, Sydney House and Holsworthy Manor car parks after 12pm on Saturdays and all day on Sundays. Additional days (for Christmas shopping and so on) are advertised on the free parking page. -
Torridge District Council provides On Street Civil Enforcement under an agreement with Devon County Council. Devon County Council is responsible for all On Street Parking including Residents' Parking in the Torridge area. In these pages you will find information regarding on safe and responsible parking on the highway, parking restrictions and traffic regulation orders, brief guides to on street residents parking permits and parking dispensation notice requests. -
