Westward Ho! beach

Is the main beach for the Torridge District which has retained blue flag status for 9 consecutive years.

The beach has RNLI provision throughout the season of May to September offering.

The beach is popular with surfers and kite-sport enthusiasts with areas dedicated to these more extreme sports.

Dogs are permitted from October to April on the whole beach, and all year round at the Northam Burrows end.

There plenty of parking and disabled parking right the way along the length of the beach and there are two main access points to the beach, one at the Westward Ho! end utilising the main slipway access point and another at the Sandymere end which is a man-made walkway that straddles the pebbleridge.
