Clay ship for Bideford . Rivers in spate photo.

Shipping Agents Pike Ward advise us that a  ship is scheduled for BIDEFORD to load Ball clay in January for CASTELLON, SPAIN.

The rivers TAW and TORRIDGE are discharging large amounts of water from the hinterland.

The Taw was observed this morning discharging large amounts of relatively clear water meeting the silty water of the Torridge and not mixing as the two streams flowed rapidly out to sea. The demarcation line between the two flows of water was marked and possibly because of different densities did not mix.

The rivers meet with a distinct difference in colour of flows.
