WELSH PIPER calls at YELLAND

Welsh Piper in 0615hrs. Capt Gary. Arrived at first light. Alongside at 0740 ((HW 0822). Sailed at 0935 5.7m on tide board d = 3.4m Discharged 1200 tonnes of sand for N|otts Contractors.

Calm Seas, tide cut approx 30 - 40 cms.

Ship bound for AVONMOUTH next after loading her cargo at sea in the Bristol Channel.

The Captain is a 'floater' who serves on many of the company ships. His next ship can carry 10,000 tonnes of sand / aggregates and can discharge in just 5 hours. it will operate mainly around the River Thames / East Coast near continent.
